	7/5/2008 - Congratulations to Garvary who were victorious in the Colin Tyler Cup Final with a 5-0 victory over Day One. The Final took place at Gt.Wakerings John Burroughs ground. 20/04/2008 - Well done to referees Rick Bloy, Nigel Brownsell and Darren Wood. They recently completed an 8 week course, culminating in a written exam which was successfully passed by all three. Hopefully this will be the start of an enjoyable refereeing career & lengthy association with the Sceptre Sunday League. 12/04/08 - Phil Rutter has been awarded Sceptre League Referee of the season. Over the course of the season Phil obtained the highest marks from the clubs. 18/03/2008 - Congratulations to referee Daivd Gainsford who has completed his promotion from a level 7 to a level 6 Official after 3 assesments. 14/03/2008 - Would all clubs to return their slips and cheques for the annual dinner,to Malcolm Binstead by the 12th April 11/03/2008 – Clubs are reminded that referee fees are to be split between both home and away team for Cup fixtures. The current referee fee is £30.00 per match. 27/02/08 - The league are extremely concerned about the increase in racist remarks and abuse being used by some members of our clubs. This WILL NOT be tolorated and it is up to the Club Secretarys and Managesr to ensure that they do not allow this and get rid of players who are so inclined! It has taken a long time to get our League to the standard it is and we will not have it spoilt by a few mindless individuals! 14/02/20008 - If any clubs are thinking of leaving the league at the end of the season please can you contact Malcolm as we are starting to plan the constitution for 2009 and want an idea of how many vacancies there are likely to be. 12/02/2008- For details of the Ashingdon Trophy click here. 10/02/2008 - Next season there is going to be a limited number of vacancies available. If any clubs are wishing to put in an additional team ,they should contact Malcolm Binstead as soon as possible because he has already started to receive applications from new clubs wishing to join the Sceptre League. Please note : If on your fixture it states Pitch needed, The home team must ring their grounds operater, (eg the council who runs there pitch), NOT the fixture secretary. It is the home teams responsibility to get a pitch for that game. Date for your diaries: The annual Awards Dinner and Dance is June 7th 2008 at Hollywoods in Benfleet. Tickets are £25 each and include a 4 Course meal with live music from "Fat Old Dad" + Comedian .
